The Millie Wilcox Gallery in the Historic Ritz Theatre hosts 8-10 exhibitions per year. New in 2024-2025 is the “Gallery Showcase.” In partnership with SoGlo Gallery and the Brunswick Library Gallery, our official exhibit openings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month beginning in October 2024 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The Wilcox Gallery is open Tuesdays-Fridays 9 am to 5 pm, during events and by appointment.

ANNUAL ART TEACHERS’ ART EXHIBIT August 2 - September 27, 2024

Welcome back to school with artwork created by the individuals who are teaching our students! Creative and imaginative, these visual art teachers inspire with their distinctive visions.

ART OF BRUNSWICK October 1 - November 22, 2024

Celebrate the past, present and future of Brunswick through historic photographs and documents and artwork created by local artists. Gallery Showcase on October 1st will also run the video made for the Brunswick Sesquicentennial in 2006 that features more historic images and film footage.

ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT December 3, 2024 - January 24, 2025

Featuring hundreds of amazing art pieces in every medium made by talented K-12 students in our local schools. Come be amazed by the creativity and inventiveness the students put into their unique art.

IT’S A MYSTERY! Inspired by Coastal GA Reads The Thursday Murder Club February 4-28, 2025

Middle and high school students create book jacket designs inspired by the style of the 1930s-1950s mystery/detective story covers.

Elementary students create artwork inspired by The Bad Guys, the Little Read selection.

RECLAIMING IBO LANDING March 7-28, 2025

The Wilcox Gallery in the Ritz will play host to Reclaiming Ebo Landing, which combines performance, visual art and history to reassert the importance of a pivotal narrative of resistance to enslavement and fight for freedom. A team of professional artists and educators will have an exhibit in the Wilcox Gallery opening on Friday March 7th and a performance featuring music, poetry and art will take place on Saturday, March 29 at 7 pm.

RECYCLED ART EXHIBIT APRIL 1-25, 2025

Students and local artists turn trash into treasure – be it imaginative works of art or creating functional items from a variety of recycled materials including paper, plastic, fabric, wood and more. In collaboration with Keep Brunswick-Golden Isles Beautiful.

GEORGIA COASTAL ARTISTS MAY 5-23, 2025

Founded in 1983, Georgia Coastal Artists Guild is comprised of over 35 local and regional artists including fine oil, watercolor and acrylic painters, and print makers who display a myriad of work in motifs from traditional to contemporary. Artists in the Guild are recognized for achievement on local, regional and national levels.

GEORGIA ARTISTS WITH DISABILITIES TOURING EXIBIT JUNE 3-27, 2025

Sponsored by the Pilots Club of Metro Atlanta and the Brunswick Pilot Club, this annual touring exhibit features the work of artists from all over the state in a variety of media, including painting, photography, clay pottery, mosaic, textiles, and other fine art media.
